Introduction to Waste Management Legislation

This two-day course is designed to provide a basic understanding of the legislation relating to the Waste industry and provide background knowledge and understanding for the candidates.
The Course has been designed for managers who need to be kept abreast of recent changes.


Objective

  • Provide evidence of the knowledge & understanding.
  • Understand the practical aspects of:
    • The Definition of Waste
    • The Duty of Care
    • Registration of Carriers
    • Special Waste Regulations
    • Transport of Wastes (Including Dangerous Goods)
  • Provide a basic understanding of the relevant parts of The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
